Dr. John Mullen, DPT, CSCS

Dr. John Mullen, DPT, CSCS: Dr. John is the President of COR and founder of Swimming Science. Dr. John Mullen is a World renowned expert and speaker in sports training and rehabilitation. He received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy at USC, as well as the Josette Antonelli Division Service Scholarship, Order of the Golden Cane, and the Order of Areté. At USC, he also performed research on swimming biomechanics and lung adaptations in swimming training. Dr. John has worked with multiple professional and Olympic athletes, helping them earn Olympic medals. His dedication to research and individualization spurred him to open COR in 2011. Since 2011, Dr. John has been featured in Gizmodo, Motherboard, Stack Magazine, Swimming World Magazine, Swimmer Magazine, USA Swimming, USA Triathlon, Swimming Science, and many more. Before his Doctoral program, Dr. John swam on an athletic scholarship at Purdue University. At Purdue, Dr. John was an Academic Honorable Mention All-American and was awarded the Red Mackey Award and R. O. Papenguh Award. He also won the Purdue Undergraduate business plan and elevator pitch competition, as well as 1st prize with the Indiana Soy Bean Alliance. Dr. John was born in Centerville, Ohio and was a 24-time high school All-American Swimmer. Dr. John is still a swimmer and holds a Masters swimming World and Pacific Swimming Record.



Keenan Robinson

Keenan Robinson most notably is the strength coach and medical staff of the GOAT Michael Phelps. He recently accepted the position with USA Swimming as the High Performance Director. He also has the following accolades:

Alex Burtch

Alex Burtch is a graduate of the Master’s in Exercise Physiology program at the University of Louisville. He has worked in personal training, group fitness and sports specific strength and conditioning. His interest is in sports enhancement training for every level athlete in a variety of sport settings. Alex has experience at the highest level of competition swimming for the University of Louisville earning NCAA All-American honors.



Matt DeLancey

Matt DeLancey is a CSCS, USAW, PES, and CES and has worked with 90 Olympians over 3 Olympic cycles and those athletes have brought back 21 medals. Part of 6 National Championship teams for Men’s track and field. 1 National Championship team for Women’s swimming. 24 total SEC championships between volleyball, track & field, and swimming & diving. Been fortunate to work with great athletes and great sport coaches.



John Matulevich

John Matulevich is the owner of Ruthless Athletics, a sports performance consulting company, employed by various gyms, fitness professionals, and athletes. John has additional credentials and accolades in injury prevention, exercise physiology, and public health administration. His publications have been featured in various online and print sources, and strives to influence and direct the industry towards scientific and evidence-based practices.



Tad Sayce

Tad is passionate about all things fitness, strength, sports performance and rehab. With nearly 15 years coaching experience Tad has helped countless athletes and Individuals to reach goals and improve health and wellness. Tad believes that every individual is unique and deserves a unique training approach and program. With a Mechanical Engineering degree from Purdue University, Tad is able to view human movement through a unique lens as a trainer. Tad’s coaching combines a strong respect for science and evidence-based practices, while also calling upon his intuition and experience to best meet his clients needs.

Tad is a certified Strength and Conditioning Coach at Pure Performance Training in Needham MA. Tad has developed a particular expertise within the sport of swimming. He was a competitive swimmer in the Big 10 Conference and Olympic Trials qualifier. His athlete roster spans Olympians, National Team Members, and Ironman Triathletes.
